The impact of a 4-year drought in California is clearly seen where the mountains border the reservoir.

The effects of California's 4-year drought are evident nearly everywhere you look, but are especially striking near bodies of water, such as the San Gabriel Reservoir (shown here). This reservoir is located in between the Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. As you can see from the waterline, the level of this reservoir is far below average.

Side note: it is nice to hear that as I write this it is raining slightly in Los Angeles. Fingers crossed that we'll have an intense El Niño weather pattern this year as predicted.
